Auttendo now goes where you work.

- **Signing in is a six-digit code.** Type your work email, then the code we
email you. It lasts five minutes and works once. The sign-in link is gone: a
link had to open in whichever browser your mail app preferred, which was
rarely the one you were waiting in.
- **Auttendo installs on your phone.** Add it to your home screen from Safari
or Chrome and it opens with its own icon and no browser bar.
- **Auttendo installs on your Mac and on Windows.** It keeps you signed in
between restarts, opens links to other sites in your normal browser, and
updates itself, asking before it restarts.
- **Open the desktop app from your browser.** Already signed in on the web?
Choose **Open in desktop app** from the account menu and Auttendo opens on
your computer already signed in — no second code. Signing out in one place
  signs you out of both.
- **Your computer can notify you.** Turn on **Show notifications on this
device** in **Settings → Notifications**, and new inbox activity arrives as a
normal notification. Clicking it opens that conversation. It is a per-device
setting, so your desk and your laptop decide separately.

Read [Install Auttendo](/install-auttendo) for the steps on each device.
