Words we use
The words Auttendo uses in the interface, what each one means, and how a run, a prompt, a message, and a project relate to one another.
Auttendo tries to say things plainly. A few words carry a specific meaning throughout the product, so this page collects them in one place.
While you are working
Conversation — a thread you and your team share with the agent. Everything you send and everything the agent produces stays here, in order.
Message — anything sent into a conversation. A message you address to your team is a team message; a message you address to the agent is an AI prompt.
Run — one piece of work the agent does in response to an AI prompt. A run starts when you send, works for a while, and finishes with a result. You can see how long it worked and what it did.
Action — one step a run took, such as reading a source or writing a note. Open a run to see its actions.
Decision — a question the agent asks when it needs you before it can carry on. The run pauses until you answer, decline, or it expires.
Changing a run
The controls sit in the composer, where you already type. Change what a run is doing covers them in full.
Queued — a message you sent while a run was working. It waits its turn, and the working run keeps everything it has done.
Send now — hand a queued message to the run that is already working instead of waiting. That run keeps everything it has done.
Stop — end the run that is working now. Nothing it was working on is kept.
After stopping, sending again starts a fresh run, recorded as following on from the one you stopped.
Where work lives
Organization — your company in Auttendo. Everything below belongs to one organization.
Member — a person in your organization. In the interface you will usually just see their name.
Project — a body of work with its own instructions, knowledge, and people.
Channel — a place inside a project where conversations happen.
Library — the sources, procedures, and notes a project or organization can draw on.
Words you will not see
Auttendo’s engineering documentation uses more precise names for some of these concepts — an Agent Run, a Conversation Context Boundary, a Queued Agent Run, a Steer. Those are for the people building Auttendo. In the product you should only ever read the plain words above; if you find one of the technical ones on a screen, that is a bug worth reporting.
